For national security, there is urgent need to develop physical or biological assays for the accurate determination of an individual’s absorbed dose of ionizing radiation within the boundaries of 0.5 Gray (Gy; a unit of absorbed of ionizing radiation) to 10 Gy with a stated statistical certainty. DiaCarta scientists discovered a DNA biomarker, which is released to blood after cell or tissue damaged by ionizing radiation. The concentration of the DNA biomarker correlates with the dose of ionizing radiation perfectly. Accordingly, DiaCarta developed a bioassay named QuantiDNA® test, which can directly detect the DNA markers from patient’s plasma or serum without DNA purification. The test is a perfect biodosimetry to fit this unmet need. |

| In addition, DiaCarta developed portable luminomter and portable incubator for field testing. |
 |
| Currently, there is no any tool in the market for biodosimetry test and radiologist is still relying on the traditional method, white blood cell counts, to monitor the radiological event. Our QuantiDNA® detection kit is the only bioassay in the market as biodosimetry test and has proven better than the traditional tool and is more sensitive, reliable test in mornitoring patients after radiological and nuclear events. |
| We have accumulated years of experience in the design, manufacture and supply of state of the art detection systems to continuously monitor levels of ionizing radiation in the radiological or nuclear event. |
