The fact that COVID-19 stays active during the flu season and the syndromes caused by COVID-19 and Flu are similar makes more sense to detect the viruses causing the two infectious diseases together. We have developed a combo kit that detects SARS-CoV-2 (causing COVID-19) and FLU A and B (the two major viruses causing flu). The detection kit is a multiplex RT-qPCR based kit that detects the presence of the virus RNAs in one single reaction tube. The test is more sensitive than the rapid antigen test and is used to test for infection status of COVID-19 or/and FLU A or B viruses or to reconfirm the test result from the rapid antigen test.
